The mechanism for destruction is set in the matrix, you get to be wealthy and rich for sufficiently long, you get to eat excessive protein for sufficiently long, you become slow and are afflicted with a tendency for self-destruction, eventually you are overtaken by the lean and mean - one of them being Chinese.  That's is how the human history and societies ebb and flow
