Smokie , you really need to write a book on tibet , it will be the best seller in China .Seriously

it's the right time for a right topic of a book .

There are already a number of books on the subject but people are not interested in reading them.

They are more interested in a) believing what they want to believe about China b) sound bytes on CNN that prove what they already believe about China and C) anything Hollywood tells them via Richard Geer, Steven Seagal et al and their mentor the Dalai Lama.

Without a schollarly work ... which I am unqualified to write, there would be no reason to read it other than curiosity.

The scholarly works that already DO exist are ignored and gather dust on the shelves.

People want to believe in Shangri-la ... they have faith in Shangri-la.

They already call the Dalai Lama 'The God King'. No other religion, not even at the Vatican itself is so presumptuous as to do that.
