Shan you are always accusing of Smokie of never changing, but you have not really changed as far as I can tell. Why don't you change?  Do you see how hard it is for one to change now?  If it is so hard and you can't even do it yourself then why do you expect Smokie to do it?  You can only bring about change in others when you start changing yourself.  When you conduct yourself differently, the others will respond differently to you and only then can you have the change you want.

Smokie, sometimes you have to learn to shut up and wait for things to blow over before you discuss a subject again, always with care and affections.  Always ask yourself, why does my rightousness matter so much to me?  How much can it fetch anyway? If I sell the fact that I am right, will there be a market for it?  The fact that you are right (when you are) won't get you even a dime, but what you do to defend your opinion does, and has indeed costed you dearly.  Think about it.

She's right of course about the pointlessness of TSM and Shan indulging in public wars of attrition. I can understand TSM's frustration with Shan regarding her casting all criticism as anti-Chinese racism and I can understand why Shan's nationalism makes her react the way she does but these are issues that can be discussed through rational discourse.

Unfortunately their personal relationship seems to come to the fore and it becomes a game of who can insult the other the most. Imagine if TSM was president of the US and Shan president of China. We'd have all out thermo-nuclear war within about 10 minutes of them gaining power 

btw I haven't been around so much because a) I'm busy and b) the site has become mostly about internal Chinese affairs which I know little about and so have nothing to comment on. That's not a complaint, just an observation.

I think the frustrated person is me not others after I read Polly's post.

I never thought my posts get related to personality ,morality , characters or something , or even man and woman things ...

I don't think it's true at my side ,personally we were over but I still treat him as a good friend and I appreciate his help all the time (twice recently ) and I am ready to return when I have the chance .

Believe or not ,when we were in a relationship , we never ,never talked about such issues between each others and we never fight. I am a quiet person , I may be grumpy but never grumble .

I came to this forum simply for my exam , since my translation exam will be this SAT so i read articles on the website  and since the translation is most related to Chinese issues , I only focus on reading Chinese news .

The first phase for my preparation is stenography and listening comprehension ,so I stayed away from here and listened to the tapes all the time .and the second phase I came here to practice reading and writing .
